5 Worst Apartments in Downtown Houston

1. Kirby Lofts

   Kirby Lofts tops our list at the number one worst apartments in Downtown Houston.  This property was originally renovated to house loft units for lease but was never able to meet its operating expenses.  The management continued to lease units that were secretly being sold to the public during this period of insolvency.  Tenants were left with almost no maintenance and some had demands to vacate from the new owners. 

2. Siena

   Siena apartments comes in at number 2 for the second worst downtown apartments in Houston.  This property is managed and owned by the infamous Internacional Realty, a management company notorious for poor response to tenants and slow and no pay to its vendors.  The number of complaints we receive from tenants at Siena apartments is mind boggling.   

3. Alexan Lofts

   Our company hates to put Alexan Lofts on the list at number 3 because it is managed by a phenomenal company (Riverstone Residential), and we lease a lot of people at this property.  We do, however, point out all the negatives about the property to our clients.  Alexan Lofts apartments is located in the warehouse section of Downtown Houston which is known for being a less desirable area.  The other major issue with the property is the fact that it is adjacent to train tracks.    

4. Memorial Club

   Memorial Club ranks number 4 on the list solely because of terrible management.  The property is managed by Alliance Residential who is infamous for slow paying vendors.  Slow paying vendors such as plumbers, landscapers, and electricians is a death sentence to the quality of life at apartments for the tenants.

5. Houston House High Rise

   Houston House High Rise may quite possibly be the oldest non historic high rise in the city.  The property is constantly struggling to pay its bills and maintain a building in disrepair.  We actually had one of our clients lease at this property against our advice only to have a water pipe break over his unit the second day he lived there.
