Application Deposit

Application Deposit: A sum of money that an apartment complex requires from the prospective tenant to take the apartment off the market and hold the apartment unit. The application deposit is usually fully refundable if the prospective tenant is not approved for the apartment. The application deposit is also usually paid at the same time the application fee is paid. The application deposit also usually rolls into the security deposit if the prospective tenant is approved.
